"Philip Don Armold of Bumpass, VA died peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2018.

Phil, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, was born January 2, 1948 in El Reno, Oklahoma. He grew up in El Reno, graduated from El Reno High School, and attended Southwestern State College along with the University of Miami.

He served in the Army in the 1st Calvary in Vietnam. He had a distinguished career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, beginning in 1971 and retired from the federal prison system in 1998.

Phil was an avid sports fan, loved playing golf and especially enjoyed cheering for his sons and grandchildren in soccer, football and baseball, as well as boating on the lake near his home in Virginia.

Mr. Armold was preceded in death by his parents, Edna May Beck Armold and Earl E. Armold; and his nephew, Jimmy Osborne.

He is survived by his sons, Chris Armold, Kevin Armold, Philip Armold, and James Armold; and sisters, Katherine Madden and Helen Osborne."
