From the moment I called at 2 am and spoke to Julie, I knew this was the right place. My mother did not want a funeral service, which many places will charge along with the cremation. I was referred to Virginia Cremation Service, which happened to be in Fredericksburg, where my mom had once lived, so I knew it was the right decision. My mom just wanted the most basic package and had a service at her church in Fredericksburg. Julie and Anthony, whom I dealt with, never tried to upsell me anything extra and were professional, efficient, and kind. I'm content with their services and thankful I was led to them. Virginia Cremation Service handled the cremation for my husband, who passed away in February 2017. I cannot say enough about how professional and thoughtful they were throughout the entire process. They honored him and our family throughout, the dignity in which they removed his body from our home, to posting his obituary online and keeping us fully informed throughout the process, including our later meeting at the crematory, with a time for prayer and viewing (My husband had wanted a witness cremation and that was well handled.), and afterward in timely providing his flag, and also his cremated remains to our family to be later interred at Quantico National Cemetery, where his remains were finally laid to rest. Our family has already shared our positive experience with others and can recommend VCS with full confidence to anyone seeking a reliable cremation service."

I was recommended to VCS by Found & Sons, as a funeral was going to be delayed for some time post-death, and I only needed a simple cremation. I have to say, they made a difficult process seamless and were very caring and understanding throughout. I unfortunately had to retain their services twice in only six weeks, but after how smoothly it went the first time, there was no question about using them again. They were even able to ship me the second deceased's remains, as I live in a different state. I can't say enough good things about VCS - compassionate, caring, and affordable."
